On February 16th, 2005 cancer claimed the life of one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to know. Phil was the very first person I hired to help build Special Event Audio. He was under appreciated in his music store job when I met him, and I wasted little time in recruiting him and making him a major part of the business. He was a gifted audio engineer, and a warm and giving person that had a natural talent for making friends. Phil was also a fine musician, and that background helped him to relate to our musical clients that gave us our start in the live sound business.
We lost him all too soon at the age of 45, but the memory of his warm and friendly personality lives on in all of us that had the pleasure of knowing him.
I was honored to call him my friend.
